Nails Of The Day

So by saying Nails Of The Day, this is actually yesterdays nails that are still with me. Lol, I am not an every day nail do'er. Sometimes I may decided I don't like it and re-do it. Sometimes it may stick with me near a week. Also on the Nails Of The Day topic. I may sometimes refer to this as NOTD. That is just an abbreviation. I will fill you in on abbreviations as I think they are needed.

On to the nails!

So, here are the colors I used. As you can see they are all China Glaze.
In order from left to right they are as follows:
#235- Outrageous
#625- For Audrey
#233 Spontaneous
#871 Lemon Fizz
#650 Shower Together
I did them from pinky to thumb on my left hand and thumb to pinky
on my right hand.

Here are the other things I used for it. Seche Clear for the base coat.
Kiss Nail Art Paint #SPA02-White for the dots.
Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat for the top coat.

Tada!! Here it is. Don't mind the cuticles. They are kind of raw
and ragged looking. I had not used my post-mani cuticle oil
yet. I think they came out very springy!

The ever elusive China Glaze For Audrey! I love that color!

This was the last nail on my left hand and you can tell the polish I was
dipping from was getting dry by all the stringiness!

 Cute little pink pinky!

Well that is all on this manicure. That is what I am wearing as I type this. I am not sure what is next but I am digging the 'Skittles' style manicure right now. Skittles is where each nail is a different color. I am thinking a gradient by nail for my next. Thats where each nail is progressively lighter but the same color. Like all purple but different shades. I don't know yet though. Who knows what my brain will decide!

Happy Polishing!

Some of My Work and Stash

Watermelon Nails. This was for a girls day out
on March 22, 2011.

Kind of gruesome bloody zombie nails
for Halloween 2010.

Christmas nails 2010.

Most recent mani! This is a franken polish.
"Frankens" are home made polishes usually
by mixing your own from those you already
have. I called this one "Merri-Winkle."
The dots are from my new Dotting tool!

And last but most certainly not least, you have
my naked nails! EEK! Lol, they are getting better!

Hopefully you liked this to start. Some of these photos are from my cell phone with is a crying shame compared to my digital camera. As I get going deeper into this hobby and posting, the vast majority will be from my digital camera.

Have a wonderful evening and happy polishing!
Amanda.

New and first post

So, I will start by saying Welcome to my blog. I have had a blog in the past that was just a mash of everything about me. However, I was never good at keeping up with it. Well hopefully I will be decent at this one because I will be eager to share my nails and hauls with you all. I kind of have a standing rule with myself to keep a manicure on for at least a day. I am not the type that wants to redo it a couple times a day. I certainly admire those that do because they are cranking out ideas for my brain to mull over. I am just not that dedicated. Besides, I view mine as little masterpieces that need to be coveted for a brief time.

As far as my style goes, I dont know if I have one. I am currently into spring and bright colors. Darks and neutrals will not be playing a big part for a while. I will also say that I am particularly obsessed with dots right now because of the new dotting tool I got. I am also into lines and linear designs. I like what the call "Jelly Colors".

My nails: Short, breakable, bendy, curling and oddly shaped. I also have very ugly cuticles but I am working on that one. I like to chew on them... :-( Lol. I am not a nail biter just a ragged cuticle chewer. My nails are shaped kind of funny and get wider the closer to the tip they go. I have ridges in them at times too. I dont know how much of that has to do with my lack of care for so long though.

I will not pretend to know everything nor will I take credit for every single thing or every single idea in my blog. I will give credit where I can and if I am able. Some images that I put up will have the original owners watermark in them and I am not about to erase it. It is their work not mine. If it has no watermark and not mine, I will do my best to tell you where it came from but will never tell you that it was my work. I will probably get around to watermarking mine just for the sake of originality and pride. I will try to make them somewhat obscure so you can still marvel in the art.

Enough of my rambling. This may take me a while to get up and really going so please check back with me when you can!

Thanks for reading!
Amanda.
